Peking University Health Science Center Renews Cooperation With The George Institute for Global Health

On 9 March, 2017, The George Institute for Global Health (TGI) renews a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC).

The signing ceremony was hosted by Professor Qiudan Sun, Director of Office of International Cooperation, PKUHSC. On behalf of their respective institutions, Professors Norton and Zhan signed the MOU in acknowledgement of the importance of the cooperation.

“The relationship we have had with PUHSC over the past 5 years has been incredibly important to our growth and success. We have worked together in the areas of academic exchange, research collaboration, professional training, teaching and research capacity building.  Most importantly, we are enormously appreciative of the support PUHSC has provided to us and very proud of the achievements we have shared to improve the health and wellbeing of Chinese people.” said Professor Robyn Norton, the founder and Principal Director of TGI. “We are excited about renewing our MOU and look forward to continuing fruitful collaborations.”

“We have a long standing friendly and cooperative relationship with The George Institute for Global Health” said Professor Qimin Zhan, the President of PUHSC, “We both share similar values and commitments to improving the lives of people around the world. In renewing the MOU, we look forward to further successes and advances in the prevention and management of major health issues.”

Attendees for the signing ceremony included Professor Robyn Norton, Principal Director of TGI; Professor Craig Anderson, Executive Director of TGI China; Mr. Tim Regan, Chief Operating and Financial Officer; Mr. Richard Mills, Global Communications Director; Associate Professor Puhong Zhang, Associate Director of TGI China; Lily Zhu, Head of Finance and Operations, TGI China; and Professor Qimin Zhan, President of PKUHSC; Professor Qiudan Sun, Director of Office of International Cooperation, PKUHSC; and Professor Peiyu Wang, Vice Dean of School of Public Health, PKUHSC.

The two parties had an informative discussion about the cooperation details surrounding the MOU.
