On February 29, 2024, Dr. ADEL KHADER ABDULLA AYED, former dean of the Faculty of Medicine and professor of surgery at the University of Kuwait, Dr. DHERAR S A ALSHEHAB, director of thoracic surgery at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital of Kuwait, and Dr. YOUSEF A.A.A.ALEID from Kuwait Chest Hospital, visited Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of PKU and President of PKUHSC, met with the delegation.

　　The two sides had fruitful discussions on such topics as medical student exchanges, undergraduate clinical internships, resident physician training, and cooperation in talent cultivation at various stages. The establishment and promotion of cooperation with Kuwaiti colleges and universities in the field of medical education is a specific move to respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative and help build a community with a shared future in human health.
