Prof. Hideyuki Okano, Dean of Keio University School of Medicine and Prof. Masato Yasui, Vice Dean of Keio University School of Medicine visited PKUHSC on October 9th, 2017. Prof. Qimin Zhan, Vice-President of PKU and President of PKUHSCmet the delegation. Prof. Qiudan Sun, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Prof. Jingyan Han, Director of Department of Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine, School of Basic Medical Science joined the meeting and discussion on the summer school program jointly organized by Keio University School of Medicine, Karolinska Institute, King’s College London and PKUHSC.

After the meeting, Prof. Zhan presented the Letter of Appointment to Prof. Hideyuki Okano and Prof. Masato Yasui as guest professor of School of Basic Medical Science, PKUHSC. Following the ceremony, Prof. Hideyuki Okano and Prof. Masato Yasui delivered wonderful speeches and the titles were “Modeling Human Neurological/Psychiatric Diseases using iPSC and GM, Non-Human Primates” and “Pathological roles of aquaporin-4 (AQP 4) in neurodegenerative diseases” respectively. Both speeches were very inspiring and triggered hot discussions.
