Prof. Robert K. Crone, Vice Dean of Weil Cornell Medicine-Qatar visited Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) on October 25, 2016. Prof. Duan Liping, Vice President of PKUHSC and Dr. Zhang Lei, Associate Director of the Office of International Cooperation of PKUHSC met with him. Dr. Roman Xu, Executive Deputy Director of Sun Yat-sen Global Health Institute accompanied Prof. Robert K. Crone for the visit.

Prof. Duan Liping and Prof. Robert K. Crone introduced PKUHSC and Weil Cornell Medicine-Qatar respectively, especially in the field of medical education. Then Prof. Robert K. Crone sought advices and suggestions from Prof. Duan Liping about possible Chinese invitees for the conference of Innovations in Global Health Professions Education (IGHPE) in Shanghai in April 2017, which will be hosted by Weil Cornell Medicine-Qatar. Weil Cornell Medicine-Qatar would possibly invite 100 to 150 "change-makers" in medical and healthcare professional education at home and abroad to discuss health workforce challenges and priorities.
