The delegation of PUHSC headed by Prof. Weigang Fang, the Vice President of PUHSC, visited Juntendo University in Tokyo. The delegation members included Prof. Qiudan Sun, the Director of Office of International Cooperation of PUHSC, Prof. Hongquan Zhang and Prof. Xinxia Tian from Peking University School of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Yuntao Xie from Peking University Cancer Hospital and Prof. Kan Gong from Peking University First Hospital.

     The delegation met with the Professor Ogawa Hideoki, the CEO of Juntendo University in the afternoon of Sept 2. Both parties reviewed the achievement of the collaboration between PUHSC and Juntendo, and discussed the potential collaborative programs in the future, including the students and young staff exchange program and joint scientific research programs. The 5^th Joint symposium, with the theme of Cancer Research and Treatment, was convened in Sept 3.  Eight speakers from both institutions gave lectures during the symposium. During the symposium, both parties agreed to hold the 6^th joint symposium in 2007 in Beijing. The PUHSC delegation also visited Juntendo University Main Hospital and Juntendo University Tokyo Koto Geriatric Medical Center during the visit.
