The Stockholm Summer School in Bioentrepreneurship is a collaborative two-part course offered to select universities by Karolinska Institutet (KI) and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, leading Swedish universities in medicine and technology www.summerstartup.se. The two universities are pleased to offer this unique opportunity to your students.
 
Bioentrepreneurship is a field of study that covers the start-up and management of life science companies and projects. The intensive three week programme is taught by active researchers in the fields of life sciences and entrepreneurship. It is open to students who have completed at least 1.5 years (90 ECTS) of study in medicine, biomedicine, biotechnology, biology, chemistry or technology at the Bachelor level. English proficiency must also be documented.
 
We hope that your students will take interest in this opportunity to explore a cross section of medicine, technology and enterprise in the capital of Sweden - a country well-known for innovation. The online application period opens 17 January and closes 15 February 2011. The course will be held in Stockholm from 20 June to 8 July 2011. A pre-arrival take-home assignment will be distributed to students on 13 June.
