Clinical Medicine (Six-year program, taught in Chinese)

The program provides students with general education, basic medical sciences education, clinical education and practice, as well as medical humanities education.

The program aims at cultivating graduates in clinical medicine with solid medical knowledge and basic clinical skills. Meanwhile, we also provide a variety of science & art elective courses for students. The curriculum consists of three categories of courses: 1) the compulsory basic & medical courses, including Mathematics, Physics, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, English/Chinese, Medical Ethics, Medical Psychology, Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, Immunology, Medical Genetics, Preventive Medicine, etc. 2) the compulsory clinical courses and clerkship, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Psychiatry, Medical Imaging, Physical & Laboratory Examination, etc. 3) the elective courses, which cover a variety of subjects concerning arts, science as well as sports; students must complete a minimum number of credits in elective courses before they can be awarded the degree.

Students complete the basic medical sciences study period in the 3rd year and begin the clinical period in the 4th year at the affiliated/teaching hospitals of Peking University Health Science Center.

If the students pass all the compulsory and elective courses, as well as the graduation assessment, they will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Medicine.

临床医学（六年制，中文授课）

本专业主要涵盖通识教育课程、基础医学课程、临床课程和临床实践，以及医学人文课程等内容。

本专业的目标是培养具有扎实医学理论知识和基本临床操作技能的临床医学毕业生。同时，本专业也为学生提供丰富的选修课程。本专业课程主要包括三大类：（1）通识教育和医学基础必修课：如高等数学、大学物理、无机化学、有机化学、生物学、语言课（英语或汉语）、医学伦理学、医学心理学、解剖学、组织胚胎学、药理学、生理学、病理学、病理生理学、免疫学、医学遗传学以及预防医学等等。（2）临床必修课和见习：内科、外科、妇产科、儿科、神经科学、精神科、物理检验学、实验检验学等等。（3）选修课：学生必须修完一定学分的选修课程，才能获得学位，课程内容涵盖文理、医学、体育以及其他广泛的领域。

学生从第四年开始进入医学部附属医院或教学医院进行临床课程的学习，同时进行见习。

学生通过所有必修课和选修课的考试，并通过毕业考核，将获得医学学士学位。
