Peking University Health Science Center (PUHSC) is organizing a two-week Medical Summer School for students from all over the world. The purpose is to provide students from Peking University’s collaborative partners an opportunity to learn about global health in general and the health system and medical education in China in particular. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the rich Chinese culture and history, and the unique characteristics of Beijing will also be touched upon.
Participating students will receive lectures related to hot topics of public health and medical education in China, visit health sector organizations, learn about TCM and its relationship with Western Medicine, visit cultural and historical sites in Beijing, attend cultural activities, and engage with Chinese students. These activities will provide students with a unique professional development opportunity and a platform for information sharing and ideology exchange.
LOCATION
The program will be conducted at PUHSC, Beijing, China. Beijing, sometimes romanized as Peking, is the capital of the People's Republic of China, and has a population of 21 million. Beijing is China’s political, cultural, economic, and educational center. PUHSC is the most prestigious comprehensive medical institution in China.

REQUIREMENTS
All students enrolled in one of PUHSC’s collaborating universities.
SELECTION CRITERIA
All applications will be reviewed and students will be selected by Home and Host University.
COST
The fee for the program is 12,500 RMB or 2,000 USDwhich must be paid before 12 June 2015. This fee includes tuition, accommodation at PUHSC campus, three meals a day during the program, site visits, local transportation, cultural activities and social events.
Note: this fee does not include airfares, passports, visas, excess baggage, health insurance or travel insurance.
